MUMBAI, India, Sept. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641106109 A) filed by Sri Eshwar College Of Engineering on September 03, 2026, for Sensor-Based Automatic Water Tank Cleaning Control System Using Turbidity And Tds Monitoring.

Inventors include Vishnu Sakravarthy N; and Kamalesh R.

The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a sensor-based automatic water tank cleaning control system for real-time water quality monitoring and automated cleaning operation. The system comprises a water-quality monitoring arrangement including a turbidity sensor and a Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) sensor, a microcontroller-based control unit, a switching/control circuit, and a motor-driven cleaning mechanism. The system is configured to continuously or periodically acquire, process, and evaluate water- quality parameters from the water stored inside the tank. The acquired sensor information is processed by the microcontroller to determine the water-quality condition by comparing the measured turbidity and TDS values with predetermined threshold values. When the detected water-quality parameters indicate that cleaning is required, the control unit automatically activates the motor-driven cleaning mechanism to perform the cleaning operation. The system further monitors the water-quality condition during or after the cleaning process and can terminate the cleaning operation when the measured parameters reach the predetermined acceptable range. The integrated system provides real-time water-quality monitoring, automatic cleaning initiation, sensor-based decision making, and reduced manual supervision in a unified arrangement, thereby enabling need-based water tank cleaning, reducing unnecessary cleaning operations, improving water-quality maintenance, minimizing manual intervention, and enhancing the overall efficiency and reliability of water tank cleaning operations.
