Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to the technical field of communications, and relate to a sensing mode negotiation method, a station device, an access point device, and a communication system. The sensing mode negotiation method comprises: a station device determines a first radio frame, the first radio frame comprising first identification information, the first identification information indicating a sensing mode in which the station device carries out monitoring in auxiliary channels when a main channel is busy, the sensing mode comprising simultaneous sensing and/or time-sharing sensing, the simultaneous sensing indicating that the station device supports simultaneously performing sensing or channel detection in at least two auxiliary channels, and the time-sharing sensing indicating that the station device supports: time-sharingly performing one-by-one sensing or one-by-one channel detection on each auxiliary channel; and sending the first radio frame. A mechanism for further enhancing a sensing mode of a channel is provided.
