Abstract: Provided in the present application are a sensing method and a communication apparatus, which are applied to a wireless local area network system that supports IEEE802.11bf, can also be applied to a wireless local area network system that supports IEEE802.11ax, IEEE802.11be or other IEEE802.11 series protocols, and are used for optimizing a time interaction problem during the closing of a sensing measurement session. The method comprises: a first apparatus receiving first indication information from a second apparatus, wherein the first indication information is used for indicating that the second apparatus requests the first apparatus not to send a first message to the second apparatus within a first duration after a first sensing measurement session is closed, or is used for indicating that the second apparatus does not send the first message to the first apparatus within the first duration after the first sensing measurement session is closed, or is used for indicating that the second apparatus does not participate in the first sensing measurement session any longer after the first sensing measurement session is closed, and the first message is used for requesting the establishment of a second sensing measurement session.
