Abstract: The present invention relates to a rechargeable battery-operated semi-automatic household mop machine (100) and method for cleaning, mopping and drying floor surfaces with reduced manual effort. The machine comprises an outer body (101), an inner body box (102), a continuous endless mop belt (114), rollers (119), squeezing pair rollers (120), motors (115), wheels (104), a rechargeable battery (121), a control unit (122), blower fans (116), heating elements (117), a water pump (126), sprinkle nozzles (127), and a compartment separator (123). During operation, the mop belt repeatedly contacts the floor, passes through the inner body box for washing and squeezing, and returns to the floor for continuous cleaning. The compartment separator enables two-stage washing to improve mop cleanliness. The machine selectively operates in normal floor-cleaning, chemical-assisted cleaning, wet-floor water collection and drying, and automatic mop-cleaning modes, thereby providing a portable, user-friendly, economical and multifunctional floor-cleaning solution.
