Abstract: The present invention relates to a low-energy evaporative cooling curtain for reducing the temperature of air entering a building through a window. The system comprises a window-mountable frame, a water reservoir, a honeycomb evaporative cooling pad, and a water delivery arrangement configured to distribute water uniformly over the cooling pad. As air passes through the wetted honeycomb pad, evaporation of water absorbs heat from the incoming air, thereby reducing its temperature before entering the room. The system is configured to operate using natural airflow and/or a conventional ceiling fan, without requiring a dedicated blower or compressor. In an embodiment, the system may further comprise a solar power source, water pump, temperature and humidity sensors, controller, and rechargeable battery for automated water circulation and monitoring. The evaporative cooling curtain provides a compact, economical, and energy-efficient cooling solution suitable for residential and other buildings, particularly in hot and dry climatic conditions.
