MUMBAI, India, Aug. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641097960 A) filed by Sri Eshwar College Of Engineering on August 12, 2026, for Self-Regulating Muti Stage Biomass Gasifier.
Inventors include K. Raj Thilak; Dr. W. Rajan Babu; Dr. P. Anbarasu; and M. Geetha.
The application for the patent was published on August 21, 2026, under issue no. 34/2026.
Abstract: This patent proposes a self-regulating biomass gasifier, which produces a consistent syngas quality across varying feedstock conditions. The system encompasses a multi stage reactor for gasification process and in-line sensors for measuring the gas composition and calorific value in real time. The data will be monitored using a microcontroller-based control system and is compared with the threshold values to maintain optimal gasification conditions. A tar sensor will also be used to reduce the tar production preventing energy waste. A real time monitoring dashboard will be used to check the progress of the process and maintain balance in the status of the system. The invention will be enabling the increase in efficiency, reliability and adaptability for energy systems.
