MUMBAI, India, Sept. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611088586 A) filed by K. R. Mangalam University on July 21, 2026, for Self-Powered Thermoregulating Pressure-Redistributing Insole For High-Heel Footwear.
Inventors include Jyoti Sehrawat; and Indrajeet Kumar.
The application for the patent was published on September 18, 2026, under issue no. 38/2026.
Abstract: An insole (100) for elevated-heel footwear has a fibre-reinforced base plate (10) carrying a forefoot piezoelectric transducer (20) beneath the metatarsal head region and a heel piezoelectric transducer (22) beneath the calcaneal region, feeding a supercapacitor (26) through a rectifier (24). The harvesting zones are the zones at which heel elevation concentrates load. A metatarsal redistribution dome (40) lies proximally of the metatarsal heads and over the transducer (20), relieving the static load while the cyclic load continues to be converted. A controller (96) energises a resistive heating network (80) only in duty cycles gated on the state of charge, so mean demand does not exceed mean harvested power. A seat (50) takes arch bridge inserts (52) selected by heel height.
