Abstract: The present invention discloses a wearable neuromodulation device (100) for pain management incorporating a hierarchical safety architecture. The device (100) comprises a stimulation module (110) configured to deliver electrical stimulation pulses to at least one electrode positioned on a skin surface of a user, a control module (120) configured to generate stimulation parameters including pulse width, frequency, and current amplitude, a safety monitoring module (130) configured to monitor at least one output parameter of the stimulation module (110), an impedance sensing module (140) configured to measure electrode-skin interface impedance, and a hardware interlock module (150) electrically coupled from the control module (120) and configured to monitor output current through an analog path. The modules (120, 130, 150) collectively define a hierarchical safety architecture that interrupts stimulation and physically disconnects power upon detection of excessive current or unsafe impedance variation, thereby transitioning the device (100) into a safe operational state.
