The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a self-healing concrete system (100) that autonomously repairs cracks within a concrete matrix (1) using embedded encapsulated polymer beads (2). Each bead (2) contains a two-part healing agent comprising a resin and a hardener. Upon crack formation (4), the beads rupture (5), releasing the agents, which mix (6) through capillary action (23) and undergo ambient polymerization (24) to form a durable polymer seal (25), thereby restoring the structural integrity (26) of the concrete. The encapsulated beads (2), sized between 100–500 micrometers, are uniformly distributed and remain stable during mixing (1) and curing (3). This self-activating healing mechanism enhances structural durability, prevents moisture ingress, and eliminates the need for manual repairs. The invention offers a cost-effective, sustainable solution ideal for infrastructure applications such as bridges, highways, marine structures, and buildings exposed to dynamic environmental stressors.
