Abstract: The present invention discloses a Self-Evolving Cybersecurity Framework for Autonomous Detection and Mitigation of Unknown Network Threats. The framework provides an intelligent and adaptive approach for detecting, analyzing, predicting, and mitigating previously unknown, zero-day, and dynamically evolving cyber threats without relying exclusively on predefined signatures or static security rules. The framework collects network traffic, communication metadata, authentication events, endpoint activities, process behavior, user activities, application events, and system logs. A Threat DNA Generation Module creates a dynamic behavioral representation of suspicious activities using temporal, communication, contextual, and relational characteristics. A Dynamic Attack-Behavior Graph Module models relationships among users, devices, applications, processes, and network resources to identify attack propagation and potential attack paths. An Autonomous Threat Prediction Module predicts possible future attack behavior, while a Counterfactual Defense Simulation Module evaluates multiple mitigation strategies and selects an appropriate response based on threat containment and potential operational impact. The selected response is automatically executed and subsequently verified. The framework further incorporates Cyber Immune Memory for storing threat characteristics, attack progression, mitigation actions, and outcomes. A Self- Evolution Module uses this accumulated knowledge to continuously improve detection models, threat representations, and defensive strategies. Thus, the invention provides a continuous detect—predict—simulate—mitigate—verify—learn—evolve cybersecurity cycle capable of adapting to unknown and evolving network threats across enterprise, cloud, IoT, edge, and distributed computing environments.
