Abstract: A self-donning sterile sleeve assembly for establishing and maintaining a continuous sterile field is disclosed. The assembly comprises an elongated sterile sleeve body (1), a distal cuff region (2), sealed side seams (5), a proximal opening (6), and a predetermined folded deployment architecture configured to enable controlled progressive unfolding from the wrist towards the upper arm while substantially preventing contact with the sterile outer surface during deployment. The folded architecture enables independent application by a single user, thereby reducing contamination, minimizing twisting and bunching, and improving deployment reliability. The sleeve is formed from flexible medical-grade sterile barrier material and is suitable for medical, surgical, diagnostic, laboratory, veterinary and other contamination-sensitive procedures. A conventional sterile glove (7) may overlap the cuff region after deployment to maintain sterile barrier continuity without forming part of the invention.
