Abstract: A self-cleaning based water storage device for building, comprising a hollow cylindrical body 101 for storing water and connected with water supply line of the building, a container 102 for allowing collection of rain water, RO (Reverse Osmosis) unit 103 connected with the container 102 for receiving rain water from the container 102 for filtration of the water, an electric pump for pumping the filtered water towards a chamber 104 connected with RO unit 103 and body 101 via a pair of pipes 105, electronic valve 106 for allowing passage of filtered water towards the body 101, an electronic nozzle 108 to open for discarding water from the body 101, a telescopically operated rod 201 to extend for positioning the flap in contact with the bottom surface, a motorized two-axis lead screw arrangement 109 provides suitable bi-directional motion to the rod 201 along with the flap for scrapping off the accumulated debris.
