Abstract: A segmented modular idler supports frames system for handling bulk materials in industries through belt conveyor. The system included an idler assembly to support, guide and stabilize a conveyor belt through a combination of a central idler and side idlers mounted on a common base frame (101). The central idler assembly includes a central roller (201) rotatably supported by vertical supports (211), that includes extended perpendicular cylindrical members [211 (a)] for positional alignment of the central idler frame. The interaction between the central idler assembly and the base frame (101) is facilitated through a block [201 (a)] mounted on the base frame (101). Lower side idlers and upper side idlers arranged on either side of the central idler have lower side rollers (301) and upper side rollers (401) connected to their frame at joint points [301 (c)] and [401 (c)] respectively. The U-shaped slot and fastener arrangements in lower and upper idler allows controlled sliding movement of the side idler frames during installation to securely fix the idlers in position.
