MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511017410 A) filed by Sanskriti University on February 27, 2025, for Seed Sprouting Device.

Inventors include Dr. Sriom; and Dr. Ashutosh Kumar Singh.

The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.

Abstract: A seed sprouting device, comprising a circular base 101 having a pair of sliding units 102 attached perpendicularly on base 101 arranged towards periphery of base 101, a plurality of circular plates 103 is attached between sliding units 102 to enable adjustment of heights of plates 103, a hollow cylindrical member 104 removable for covering plates 103, a plurality of iris holes 105 enable air circulation and passage of roots of sprouted seeds across plates 103, a temperature sensor detect temperature within member 104, a Peltier unit to change temperature within member 104 if detected temperature is outside a predetermined temperature range for optimized growth of sprouts, a plurality of nozzles 106 spray water on seeds to support sprouting, a humidity sensor detects a humidity level within member 104, an artificial intelligence- based imaging unit 109 determines spoilt seeds and a telescopic gripper 110 remove spoilt seeds from plates 103.
