MUMBAI, India, Oct. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641119833 A) filed by Ifet College Of Engineering on October 07, 2026, for Seed Germination Prediction And Soil Health Monitoring System.
Inventors include Ms. G. Thamizh Amizhdhu; Mr. J. Hemanathan; Mr. V. S. Arun Balaji; and Mr. R. Devanathan.
The application for the patent was published on October 09, 2026, under issue no. 41/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a seed germination prediction and soil health monitoring system for assessing soil and environmental conditions relevant to seed germination. The system comprises a soil moisture sensor (102), pH sensor (104), total dissolved solids sensor (106), temperature and humidity sensor (108), and light sensor (110) operatively connected to a microcontroller (112). The microcontroller (112) receives sensed parameters, compares the parameters with respective predefined threshold values, and determines a germination-condition output based on the combined comparison. A camera module (114) captures images of soil or seed conditions for visual monitoring in association with the germination-condition output. A wireless communication interface (116) communicates monitored information to an Internet of Things cloud platform (118) for remote graphical visualization. The system enables real-time, multi-parameter assessment of germination conditions with associated visual and remote monitoring for seed germination assessment and soil health monitoring.
