Abstract: TITLE: SECURITY FILM FOR BRAND AUTHENTICATION AND ROBUST PROTECTION The present invention relates to security film comprising security feature for authentication and anti-counterfeiting applications i.e., tamper evident. More particularly the present invention relates to a multilayer security film for authentication and anti-counterfeiting, comprising a PET substrate; one or more printed security indicia formed on the PET substrate; an adhesive layer disposed over the printed PET substrate or selectively disposed on predetermined regions of the printed substrate; and a pre-formed liquid crystal film laminated onto the adhesive layer using a roller lamination system, wherein the liquid crystal film is laminated with the printed PET substrate, wherein a release liner supporting the liquid crystal film is removed and separated simultaneously as the liquid crystal film is bonded to the printed PET substrate, and wherein the multilayer security film provides angle- dependent colour-shifting effects and tamper-evident properties.
