Abstract: SECURITY FAILURE HANDLING DURING LTM HANDOVER Example embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to methods, devices, apparatuses and computer readable storage medium for security failure handling during layer 1/layer 2 triggered mobility (LTM) handover. In a method, an apparatus receives, from a network device, a message including a next hop chaining counter (NCC) value. The apparatus has switched from a further network device to the network device based on a cell switch command. The apparatus determines whether the received NCC value is matching to a further NCC value received from the further network device before the cell switch command. In accordance with a determination that the received NCC value is matching to the further NCC value, the apparatus determines a failure occurs for security of a communication between the apparatus and the network device.
