MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511023200 A) filed by Sanskriti University on March 15, 2025, for Secured Wooden Bark Shaving Assistive Device.

Inventors include Dr. Rishi Kumar Dwivedi; and Dr. Rajneesh Tyagi.

The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.

Abstract: A secured wooden bark shaving assistive device, comprising an elongated frame 101 integrated with a handle 102 at lateral ends accessed by user for shaving wooden bark, an imaging unit 103 installed on frame 101 determine wooden bark dimensions, a curved blade 105 arranged at center of frame 101 positioned by user over bark, a speaker 106 produce audio command to increase/decrease force on handle 102 for engaging blade 105 with optimum thickness of bark, multiple extendable plates 107 integrated in frame 101 along with multiple motorized hinges 108 to tilt portions of frame 101 to facilitate dragging of frame 101 along bark with minimal force, a curved cutting unit 109 arranged parallel to blade 105 get deployed if blade 105 get stuck on bark, an electromagnetically powered spring 110 integrated between cutting unit 109 and blade 105 apply pushing force towards blade 105 for removing stuck portion of bark.
