Abstract: The project is based on a Secure Data Wiping System, which addresses the critical issue of data privacy anct protection in modem digital environments. With the increasing use of computers, laptops, and storage devices, large amounts of sensitive data are stored digitally. However, traditional file deletion methods do not permanently remove data, creating serious security risks, ' This system provides a reliable solution for permanently erasing data from storage devices using advanced overwriting techniques. It ensures that deleted data cannot be recovered by any software tools, thereby protecting users from data breaches, identity theft, and unauthorized access. The application is designed to be simple and user-friendly, enabling even nontechnical users to securely delete files without difficulty. It includes features such as multi-pass overwriting based on standard methods, secure hashing for verification, and free space wiping ta remove hidden residual data. Unlike existing systems that are either complex or expensive, this project offers a cost- effective and efficient solution. It works offline, ensuring that sensitive data is not exposed to external networks during the deletion process. Overall, this system promotes data security, supports safe reuse and recycling of digital devices, and helps individuals and organizations maintain privacy in an increasingly digital world.
