Abstract: ABSTRACT SECURE IOT COMMUNICATION SYSTEM WITH QUANTUM ENTROPY SOURCE A secure Internet of Things (IoT) communication system (100) comprises a quantum entropy source (110) based on spontaneous parametric down-conversion (SPDC) configured to generate photon pairs. A detector arrangement (120) is coupled to the quantum entropy source (110) and configured to detect quantum events from the photon pairs. A conditioning module (130) is configured to convert the detected quantum events into conditioned random bits. A secure entropy interface (140) is configured to provide the conditioned random bits to one or more requesting applications. A field programmable gate array (FPGA) (150) is configured to execute at least one post-quantum cryptographic operation using the conditioned random bits. An IoT core (160) is coupled to the FPGA (150) and configured to perform communication control for at least one of a sensor, an actuator, a gateway, or an embedded node.
