Abstract: Secure IoT-Based Embedded System with Hardware-Level Encryption for Data Transmission is disclosed for protecting sensitive data generated by IoT-enabled embedded devices. The system comprises one or more sensors, an embedded processing unit, a hardware security module, a hardware encryption engine, secure key storage, and a communication interface. Sensor data generated by the sensors is transferred to the hardware security module, where the data is encrypted using a cryptographic key securely maintained within the hardware-based key-storage component. The encrypted data is transmitted through a wired or wireless communication interface to an authorized gateway, edge device, or cloud server. Authentication and integrity verification mechanisms are employed to identify unauthorized devices and detect data modification during transmission. The proposed architecture provides hardware- assisted cryptographic processing, enhanced key protection, reduced software processing overhead, and secure real-time data transmission for resource-constrained IoT embedded systems.
