Abstract: A secure inter-organizational file-sharing system using Hyperledger Fabric and InterPlanetary File System (IPFS) is disclosed. The system enables decentralized, auditable, and privacy-preserving exchange of digital documents among multiple organizations. Files are encrypted using AES-256 encryption before storage in IPFS, while file metadata, content identifiers, ownership records, access policies, and audit logs are maintained on a Hyperledger Fabric blockchain. User and organizational identities are verified through Verifiable Credentials and Decentralized Identifiers, and access permissions are enforced using Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC). A Proof-of-Availability module continuously verifies file persistence and updates availability records on the blockchain. The invention eliminates dependence on centralized storage infrastructure while ensuring confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, authorization, accountability, and tamper-proof auditing of shared digital assets.
