MUMBAI, India, Oct. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611101147 A) filed by Jawaaz Ahmad; Sameer Wazir; and Design Innovation Centre; Islamic University Of Science And Technology on August 21, 2026, for Secure Hardware-Based Financial Transaction Verification And Authorization Device.
Inventors include Jawaaz Ahmad; and Sameer Wazir.
The application for the patent was published on October 02, 2026, under issue no. 40/2026.
Abstract: The present invention discloses a secure hardware-based financial transaction verification and authorization device configured to perform tamper-resistant, pre- execution validation of monetary transactions. The device operates as an independent embedded hardware unit interfaced with banking systems, enterprise accounting platforms, treasury management systems, or payment gateways, and functions independently of host software control. The device comprises a secure microcontroller or system-on-chip, a hardware cryptographic engine, a trusted execution environment, and physically protected non-volatile memory for storing cryptographic keys, authorization policies, and immutable audit logs. Transaction parameters including transaction amount, beneficiary credentials, approval hierarchy, and timestamps are validated using hardware-enforced authentication and authorization mechanisms. Upon successful verification, the device generates a hardware-signed authorization token permitting transaction execution. The invention supports multi-factor hardware authentication, offline and air-gapped operation, and secure audit logging. By enforcing hardware-level verification and authorization prior to transaction execution, the invention mitigates risks associated with software compromise, insider fraud, and cyber-attacks, and provides a regulator-friendly security solution for financial transaction processing.
