MUMBAI, India, June 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641074373 A) filed by Cvr College Of Engineering on June 16, 2026, for Secure Federated Learning System For Healthcare Data Management With Privacy Preservation.
Inventor includes A. Umarani.
The application for the patent was published on June 26, 2026, under issue no. 26/2026.
Abstract: The proposed invention introduces a federated learning framework for secure healthcare data management with strong privacy preservation. It allows multiple healthcare organizations to jointly construct a machine learning model without exposing or exchanging raw patient information. In this approach, each institution independently develops a local model using its own medical datasets and shares only the updated parameters with a central coordinating server. The server performs aggregation of these updates to produce an enhanced global model, which is then redistributed to the participating institutions to support further iterative learning. The system applies encryption and secure aggregation to keep healthcare information secure, and it also checks who is using the system to prevent unauthorized access to the healthcare data management system. This helps with healthcare analytics while keeping healthcare data confidential and following rules making the secure federated learning system good, for medical applications that use a lot of healthcare data.
