Abstract: Steganography is the technique of hiding private or sensitive information within something that appears to be nothing be a usual image. Steganography involves hiding Text so it appears that to be a normal image or other file. Cyber intrusions have emerged as a significant issue in contemporary times. The conveyance of secure information or communication via the internet becomes problematic due to security apprehensions. To pre-empt these security challenges, we employed Cryptography and Image Steganography. Throughout the centuries, there have been several progressions in information security. Steganography and cryptography are the two developing methods for secure data transport over time. Cryptography is the technique of encoding text, while Steganography conceals text inside seemingly innocuous multimedia elements. Steganography ensures data security by concealing secret messages within files, rendering them undetectable to human perception. In this manuscript, we introduced a framework that employs cryptography and steganography to provide dual layers of protection for the information. The objective of this manuscript is to formulate a novel methodology employing the XOR operation for data encryption and to embed the encrypted data into an image in a pseudo-random manner utilising a user-selected key. The proposed technique is compared with state-of-the-art techniques. The results reveal that the proposed technique outperforms the existing techniques concerning security and efficiency with adequate MSE and PSNR.
