MUMBAI, India, June 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641070812 A) filed by Peri Institute Of Technology on June 06, 2026, for Secure Communication System For Vehicle-To-Infrastructure Data Exchange In Smart Transportation Networks And Working Method Thereof.

Inventors include Dr. Mohamed Abbas S; Dr. Rajeswari R; Dr. Sreedevi S. L; and Dr. Kotteswari K.

The application for the patent was published on June 12, 2026, under issue no. 24/2026.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a secure communication system for vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I) data exchange in smart transportation networks. The system comprises a vehicular on-board secure communication unit (10), a multi-protocol wireless communication interface module (20), a context-aware cryptographic processing engine (30), a distributed infrastructure node controller (40), a blockchain-anchored audit and identity management layer (50), a machine learning-based anomaly detection subsystem (60), a cloud-integrated operations centre (70), and a quality-of-service orchestration framework (80). The invention enables adaptive selection of communication channels and cryptographic protocols based on real-time contextual parameters, ensuring secure, low-latency, and reliable data exchange. It further provides tamper-evident logging, privacy-preserving identity management, and automated threat detection with response mechanisms. The system ensures resilient and efficient communication across vehicular, edge, and cloud tiers, thereby enhancing safety, security, and operational efficiency in intelligent transportation systems.
