Abstract: This project proposes an Intelligent, Secure Academic Performance Analytics Platform designed to support data-driven decision-making in higher education institutions. The system integrates a relational database to manage student, course, assessment, and attendance records, and applies analytics to identify at-risk learners and performance trends. By combining structured data management with rule-based or machine learning–driven risk scoring, the platform enables early interventions such as targeted mentoring, remedial classes, and personalized study recommendations. From a technical perspective, the backend is implemented using Java (e.g., Spring Boot) to provide RESTful APIs for data management, user authentication, and role-based access control. The database layer, built on MySQL or PostgreSQL, models key academic entities and their relationships, supporting complex queries for performance analysis, cohort comparisons, and longitudinal tracking. An optional AI module can be integrated to predict student risk levels and generate contextual feedback, aligning with current research on AI applications in education and learning analytics. The platform emphasizes cloud security and user experience by incorporating a well-defined IAM architecture and intuitive dashboards for different stakeholders: administrators, faculty, mentors, and students. Role-based permissions ensure that sensitive academic data is accessed only by authorized users, while audit logs track critical operations for accountability. The UI/UX component focuses on clear visualizations of grades, attendance, and risk indicators, as well as actionable insights for each user role. Overall, this project demonstrates how SQL, Java, cloud security principles, and thoughtful interface design can be combined to create a practical, research-oriented solution for improving academic outcomes.
