Abstract: Nowadays, digital identities and digital assets are used for many activities such as sharing documents, certificates, records, and other important digital information. In conventional systems, identity and asset ownership information may depend on centralized authorities or databases, making it difficult to independently verify whether an asset is genuine, unchanged, and owned by the correct person. To solve this problem, we have developed a system called SECURA. The main idea of this project is to provide a secure way to manage decentralized digital identities and verify the ownership and integrity of digital assets. SECURA creates a decentralized digital identity for a user and allows digital assets to be registered and linked with the verified identity. For each registered digital asset, the system generates a unique cryptographic hash and records the required verification information on a blockchain. When verification is requested, an authorized party can generate a new hash of the asset and compare it with the previously recorded blockchain hash. A matching hash indicates that the asset has not been modified, while the associated identity reference helps verify its ownership. Overall, SECURA provides a decentralized and tamper-evident approach for verifying digital identity, asset ownership, and asset integrity without depending entirely on a centralized authority.
