The electrolyte comprises fluoroethylene carbonate and lithium difluorophosphate; on the basis of the mass of the electrolyte, the mass percentage content of the fluoroethylene carbonate is S1%, the mass percentage content of lithium difluorophosphate is S2%, S1 is greater than or equal to 1.5 and less than or equal to 5.0, and S1 is greater than or equal to 4×d002+0.8×S2. The secondary battery exhibits good discharge rate performance at low temperatures.
