Abstract: A seat system for a vehicle for lifting and moving loads has a seat rotation mechanism which is operable in response to control signals received from a control system, to rotate the operator seat relative to the vehicle chassis. The control system receives an input from a directional control used by the operator to steer all of the vehicle's wheels together in a common direction so that the vehicle is driven over the ground in a certain direction without rotation of the chassis relative to the ground. By rotating the seat towards the direction of travel, the operator's visibility is improved.
