Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a solution for a session description protocol (SDP) message associated with data channel streams. In an aspect, a first terminal device generates, an SDP message comprising a first media-level attribute or an option of a second media-level attribute. The first media-level attribute or the option is used for identifying a data channel stream within a session description. The SDP message further comprises a session-level attribute for grouping together different data channel streams or grouping together at least one data channel stream and at least one media stream. The first terminal device transmits the SDP message to a second terminal device via one or more network devices. The embodiments of the present disclosure can express a particular relationship between media stream and data channel SCTP stream, or between different data channel SCTP streams.
