Abstract: A scroll fluid machine includes a fixed scroll and a turning scroll that includes a turning main surface and turns relative to the fixed scroll. The fixed scroll has a sealing structure provided at a location so as to face the turning main surface. The sealing structure includes a sealing groove that is formed in the fixed main surface and that includes a groove bottom surface, a backup unit that is in contact with the groove bottom surface, and a dust seal that is in contact with both the backup unit and the turning main surface and is pressed against the turning main surface by force received from the backup unit. The backup unit includes a lower-stage backup tube that is in contact with the groove bottom surface, and an upper-stage backup tube that is arranged in series along the direction of the groove depth of the sealing groove with respect to the lower-stage backup tube and is in contact with the dust seal.
