MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641112458 A) filed by Andhra University on September 18, 2026, for Scheduling System And Method For Reducing Energy Consumption In Distributed Computing Systems.

Inventors include Dr. G. Sharmila Sujatha; Rajesh Garapati; Dr. K. Soumya; and Praveen Mande.

The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.

Abstract: The present disclosure proposes a scheduling system (100) is configured to control and optimize compute resources using real-time system data and machine learning techniques for managing workload execution, power parameters, and communication in large-scale cloud infrastructures. The scheduling system (100) comprises a computing device (102) having a processor (104) and a memory (106) for storing one or more instructions executable by the processor (104). The processor (104) is configured to execute plurality of modules (108) for controlling operation of heterogeneous accelerator resources in a cloud computing environment comprising GPUs and TPUs. The proposed scheduling system (100) can be deployed across multi-node cloud data centers and integrated with container orchestration platforms. The proposed scheduling system (100) achieves multi-objective optimization by simultaneously improving energy efficiency, workload performance, resource utilization, and system stability.
