MUMBAI, India, Aug. 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202521086894 A) filed by Pandit Deendayal Energy University on September 12, 2025, for Scheduling Of Pv And Battery Energy Storage Systems For Minimizing Real Power Losses Of Radial Distribution Network.
Inventor includes Dr. Praghnesh Bhatt.
The application for the patent was published on August 14, 2026, under issue no. 33/2026.
Abstract: The invention relates to an optimization method for minimizing real power losses in a radial distribution network (RDN) by scheduling photovoltaic (PV) and battery energy storage system (BESS) operation. The method includes power flow analysis, optimal sizing and placement of distributed generators (DGs), solar PV scheduling, and dynamic adjustment of energy output based on load variations. By modeling solar PV generation using the Beta Probability Distribution Function and integrating battery storage, the system optimally dispatches power to reduce losses and enhance voltage profile. The invention provides an efficient and scalable approach for managing distributed energy resources in modern power distribution networks. Fiaure -1
