The application for the patent was published on July 24, 2026, under issue no. 30/2026.
Abstract: A scenario-based weightage assignment system 100 and method for increasing availability of autonomous driving for a vehicle is provided. The system 100 is configured to receive the map and sensor data, determine map availability and sensor performance, determine a driving scenario, and calculate map and sensor data weights based on the driving scenario when the map availability and/or the sensor performance is partially degraded. Thereafter, the map and sensor data weights are provided to an advanced driver assistance system to prioritize the map data, the sensor data or both according to corresponding weights, for autonomous driving functions. The system 100 enhances automated driving in scenarios with degraded maps or compromised sensor data. The system 100 enables robust performance across diverse driving conditions through dynamic weight adjustment, improving reliability and safety of autonomous functions. Fig. 1
