Abstract: Abstract Digital scratch cards have gained traction as an engaging tool in social media marketing, leveraging gamification to drive user interaction and brand engagement. This survey paper provides an in-depth review of existing literature on digital scratch cards, analyzing their benefits, applications, effectiveness, and challenges with a specific focus on India. We review 14 academic and industry papers to synthesize insights into their role in enhancing user engagement, brand awareness, and conversion rates. Additionally, we explore local case studies from businesses in Mysore and discuss emerging trends and future research directions in this domain. The integration of gamification into social media marketing has transformed consumer engagement strategies. Digital scratch cards have emerged as an effective tool to enhance interactivity, drive customer engagement, and boost brand loyalty. This paper reviews the role of digital scratch cards in social media marketing, exploring their benefits, applications, and challenges.
