Abstract: An example computing device includes processing circuitry; and a storage device that stores instructions executable by the processing circuitry: provide a design document to a safety design compiler; generate, by the safety design compiler, design artifacts based on the design document; generate safety monitor code based on the design artifacts; validate thesafety monitor code based on the design document, and output a result of validating the safety monitor code. The storage device may further store instructions executable by the processing circuitry: obtain display data from a vehicle head unit; obtain input data from a vehicle; validate one or more display elements included in the display data based on the input data from the vehicle; and responsive to determining a discrepancy in a display element of the one or more display elements and the input data from the vehicle, output an indication of the discrepancy.
