Abstract: Measuring wound sine for irregular shape is more challenging. The wound become irregular in trauma, pressure ulcer, diabetic wound and in the process of healing also. Measuring the wound size with sterile devise is not available in the market. Healthcare professionals use clean inch tape or ruler to measure the length and width of the wound. These clean devices can cause wound infection. Treating wound infection is not only expensive but also increase painful days for patient and family. If we have paraffin gauze with printed measurements from millimetre to centimetre, it will be easy to measure in a sterile manner in all 360 degree directions with minimum handling of the wound.
