The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a rotary triboelectric nanogenerator (TENG) system for harvesting electrical energy from low-speed airflow. The system comprises a rotor assembly including a shaft (402) with circumferentially arranged copper electrode strips (412) and aluminium electrode strips (414), and a stator assembly including fixed polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) strips (416) and at least one secondary aluminium electrode (418). During operation, rotation of the shaft (402) under airflow causes periodic contact and separation between the copper electrode strips (412) and the PDMS strips (416), generating electrical charges through the triboelectric effect. A multi-point contact configuration ensures that two to three copper electrode strips (412) remain in simultaneous contact with the PDMS strips (416). Charge collection is facilitated through a copper connector ring (410) and at least one electrical brush (420), and the collected charges are deliverable to an external load via output terminals.
