Abstract: The present invention establishes first time Rooftop device for pumped storage hydropower (PSH) generation. The novel device assembly is comprised of water wheel, newly designed quick return motion wheel and mechanical pump. As the water wheel operates the quick return wheel which in turn operates mechanical water pump. Thus, the cyclic operation of the assembly in synchronized fashion adopts self-circulation of water for several days without aid of any external electricity and other energy sources. The present invention enables the employment of sea-water, a cheap source of water. This rooftop PSH generation device can be demonstrated on terraces of residential houses, offices, commercial sites, small communities, rural areas, agricultural land and remote areas. The device offers portable PSH system as both off-grid and on-grid facility with zero carbon emission.
