MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202647106605 A) filed by Soudronic AG on September 04, 2026, for Roller Assembly For Advancing Sheet-Metal Material.

Inventors include Umbricht, Ruedi; and Bhler, Philipp.

The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.

Abstract: The invention relates to a roller assembly for advancing sheet-metal material, comprising a first advancing roller (1a; 1b; 1c) and a second advancing roller (2a; 2b; 2c), at least one of which can be driven and between which the sheet-metal material to be advanced is clamped in a nip (17) formed by the advancing rollers (1a, 2a; 1b, 2b; 1c, 2c) in the intended advancing operation and is advanced by rotating the advancing rollers (1a, 2a; 1b, 2b; 1c, 2c). The first advancing roller (1a; 1b; 1c) is fixedly mounted in a support structure (3), and the second advancing roller (2a; 2b; 2c) is movably mounted in the support structure (3) via solid-body joints (4; 5; 6) in such a way that the second advancing roller is movable, in particular pivotable or slidable, perpendicularly to its axis of rotation (S2) relative to the first roller (1a; 1b; 1c), thereby adjusting the nip (17) for the sheet-metal material to be advanced. The design according to the invention has the advantage that it can be implemented with a minimum number of components, and the typical parts that are subject to wear, such as rocker bearings or slide bearings, are obviated.
