Abstract: The present invention relates to a compact and intelligent borewell rescue robotic system designed for rescuing children and individuals trapped in narrow borewells. The system comprises a suspension frame, 360-degree rotating platform, an articulated robotic arm, an adaptive gear-driven gripper mechanism, an ESP32-based electronic control unit, and a sensor-assisted monitoring system.. The ESP32 microcontroller provides wireless control, real-time monitoring, and coordinated actuation of the robotic components. A camera module, ultrasonic sensor, and illumination unit assist in victim detection, positioning, and rescue guidance under low-light conditions. The compact design allows deployment in borewells having diameters of approximately 250–350 mm. Proposed system significantly reduces rescue time, improves operational safety, enhances victim retrieval success rates, and provides a portable, low-cost solution for emergency borewell rescue applications.
