Inventors include Sahane, Pradip Vishnu; and Desai, Indrajit Anandrao.
The application for the patent was published on October 09, 2026, under issue no. 41/2026.
Abstract: A robotic surgical system (100) includes a robot cart (102) having a robotic arm (106) configured to position a surgical tool (110). The robot cart (102) includes an active marker (202) defining a fixed reference point, an instrument coupler (108) interchangeably receiving one of a plurality of surgical tools. The robotic surgical system (100) includes a vision cart (104) having a user interface (114), an optical tracking unit (116), and a hardware processor (206). The hardware processor (206) receives a tool type selection, retrieves a tool centre point predefined for the tool type, confirms a position of a holder verification point (124) within a first tolerance, confirms a position of a tip verification point (126) within a second tolerance, and executes, via the robotic arm (106), a bone resection based on the tool centre point and the confirmed positions.
