MUMBAI, India, July 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611001377 A) filed by Sharda University on January 06, 2026, for Robotic Manipulator System.

Inventors include Karichi, Craig; Ahmad, Sharik; and Ali, Syed Arshad.

The application for the patent was published on July 10, 2026, under issue no. 28/2026.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a robotic manipulator system (100) for precise manipulation in space-constrained environments. The system (100) includes a manipulator arm (104) that incorporates at least one telescopic arm segment (108) movable between a retracted and extended position along a longitudinal axis. A linear actuator (106) is mechanically coupled to the arm segment (108) for controlled extension and retraction, while rotary motors (112) are coupled to the manipulator arm (104) for positioning the end effector (112). A distance sensor (114) measures the separation between the end effector (112) and a target object, and position sensors (116) monitor the arm segment (108) and rotational joints. A control unit (118) receives data from the distance sensor (114) and position sensors (116), actuates the linear actuator (106) and rotary motors (110) to reach target, initiates task execution by the end effector (112), and retracts the arm segment (108) after task completion.
