Abstract: The present disclosure pertains to a road roller system (100). The system (100) includes a propulsion vehicle (102) and a plurality of roller modules (104). The roller modules (104) are arranged in series and operatively coupled to the propulsion vehicle (102) through a linkage assembly. Each roller module (104) includes at least one rotatable drum (106) configured to contact a ground surface for compaction. The plurality of roller modules (104) is structurally delinked from weight-bearing wheels (108) of the propulsion vehicle (102) such that the roller modules (104) are dragged over the ground surface without substantially contributing to load-bearing of the propulsion vehicle (102). The plurality of roller modules (104) is sequentially arranged to provide multiple points of ground contact (110) enabling simultaneous multi- point compaction over an extended surface area in a single pass.
