MUMBAI, India, Oct. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641119755 A) filed by Vellore Institute Of Technology on October 06, 2026, for Risk-Constrained Emergency Control System And Method Using Reversible Micro-Interventions And Real-Time Hazard Response Validation.

Inventors include P. Mohankumar; Rakshit Ratan Pathak; and Samridhi Vibhanshu.

The application for the patent was published on October 09, 2026, under issue no. 41/2026.

Abstract: The present disclosure proposes a risk-constrained emergency control system (100) comprises a controller (102), a distributed hazard-sensing arrangement (108), a protected-zone information source (110), and an actuator interface (112). Emergency-control modules (114) determine hazard-propagation states, generate candidate physical interventions and predicted hazard responses, reject interventions predicted to increase protected-zone exposure, and execute a bounded reversible micro- intervention. A real-time response validation module (124) monitors measured transient environmental response and actuator feedback, compares the measured response with the predicted response, classifies the response as protective, harmful, ineffective, or inconsistent, and detects harmful progression toward a protected zone. A rollback and intervention-control module (126) terminates harmful micro-interventions, withholds unsafe escalation, authorizes a corresponding scaled or full emergency intervention upon protective validation, performs fault attribution, updates confidence and actuator-trust values, and continues monitoring authorized physical actuation.
