Abstract: The present invention relates to the field of advanced composite materials, specifically a rice straw-derived nanoparticle-enhanced fiber-reinforced polymer composite designed for structural applications. The composite comprises nanoparticles synthesized from rice straw using a sol-gel technique, characterized by a high surface area to volume ratio, and dispersed within a polymer matrix selected from epoxy, polyester, and vinyl ester resins. The matrix is further reinforced with fibers, either natural (such as jute, hemp, and flax) or synthetic (such as glass and carbon fibers), which are aligned and embedded to form a laminate structure with multiple layers. The nanoparticles, ranging from 1 to 100 nanometers, are uniformly dispersed, enhancing the mechanical properties of the composite. The invention includes a method to produce the composite by cleaning rice straw, synthesizing nanoparticles via sol-gel, and integrating them into a fiber-reinforced polymer matrix, which is then structured and cured to form the desired laminate.
