Abstract: The present invention relates to a decision support system, and more particularly to an intelligent computer-implemented system and method for financial decision- making based on advance analysis of heterogeneous financial data. Financial data originates from multiple sources: transaction records, accounting databases; internal market information, customer information and operational info in many cases present. This module performs data preprocess such as cleans, normalizes, validates, classifies and integrates the data to yield a consistent financial dataset. A complex analytics engine is used to explore this import data further employing statistical analysis, machine learning, predictive modeling, anomaly detection and trend analysis and risk before providing access to that data on its own. Within an interactive decision-support interface, the system outputs various financial indicators, forecasts, risk scores and scenario-based outcomes as well as decision recommendations. Additionally, the system delivers insight regarding generated recommendations by recognizing which data variables and correlations were most influential in arriving at each finding. An alert module then identifies abnormal financial profiles and issues alerts in real-time when triggered by user-defined or dynamically established risk thresholds. Accordingly, the invention provides an enabling framework for translating heterogeneous financial data into knowledge-based intelligence useful in budgeting, investment evaluation, cash-flow management, risk assessment and strategic planning.
