Abstract: The present invention relates to a reusable yarn packaging separator assembly (100) comprising a separator board (110) and a plurality of plug members (120). The separator board (110) comprises a plurality of separator sheets including at least a top separator sheet (112) and a bottom separator sheet (114), wherein at least one separator sheet defines a plurality of plug-receiving openings (116). The plug members (120) are received in the plug-receiving openings (116) and are captively and non-removably retained relative to the separator board (110) by cooperation of the separator sheets. Each plug member (120) comprises an outer annular portion (122), an inner opening (124), a stepped portion (126), and a plurality of leg projections (128). The separator board (110) is adapted to be disposed between adjacent layers of yarn packages to maintain spacing and positional stability during storage and transport.
