MUMBAI, India, July 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621060173 A) filed by Eshma Technologies Private Limited on May 12, 2026, for Retrofittable Aerodynamic Enclosure For Impact Energy Dissipation And Load Distribution In Aerial Vehicle.
Inventor includes Nitin Patil.
The application for the patent was published on July 10, 2026, under issue no. 28/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT RETROFITTABLE AERODYNAMIC ENCLOSURE FOR IMPACT ENERGY DISSIPATION AND LOAD DISTRIBUTION IN AERIAL VEHICLE The present invention discloses a retrofittable aerodynamic enclosure for impact energy dissipation and load distribution in an aerial vehicle. An aerodynamic inflatable structure (102) of the retrofittable aerodynamic enclosure (100) is mounted around a fuselage of the aerial vehicle (124). The aerodynamic inflatable structure (102) comprises a first side (104) with a faceted aerodynamic profile to modify airflow, a second side (106) with a substantially planar profile to distribute contact forces during landing and impact, a fuselage clearance region (108) to accommodate the fuselage, propulsion clearance regions (110) arranged around the fuselage clearance region (108) to house propellers with each propulsion clearance region (110), an arm clearance aperture (112) to accommodate a propeller arm, and a landing gear (114) to provide ground support and cooperate with the second side (106) to absorb landing loads. A fluid control element (118) inflates fluid into the aerodynamic inflatable structure (102) during impact conditions. FIG. 1
